2. Description
This work explores the spatial energy embodied in the gesture of falling water droplets. The sound produced by the droplets evokes for the listener a sensation akin to a gradual departure from the immediacy of reality, suggesting a quiet journey into a subtly altered perceptual space.
Water droplets fall onto a photograph of a rose, and over time both their density and sonic patterns undergo continual transformation, generating an overall musical flow. As this process unfolds, the image within the photograph begins to mutate under the influence of the audio signal, gradually shifting toward an indeterminate, non-crystalline visual state. In parallel, the image that once belonged to the realm of the real increasingly migrates into a virtual spatial domain.
Through this evolving interaction, the work produces a transformation in the form of spatial energy itself. The dynamic interplay between auditory and visual changes establishes a temporal flow that ultimately defines the character of the space.
